Sandra L. Levitt, MD
"If I could possess one super human power, it would be to heal people’s suffering."
Dr. Levitt is the founder of Innovative Primary Care and an Internal Medicine Physician. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, and has been practicing medicine since finishing her Internal Medicine Residency in 1990 at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Levitt began private practice in Albuquerque, NM and then moved back to Arizona in 1996. She practiced in a large multi-specialty group for two years, and then went into a small group practice where she remained for six years until opening up Innovative Primary Care in 2005.
Dr. Levitt received her double undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in psychology and biology. While studying these subject areas, she realized she was passionate about educating and involving people in their health care decisions. This led her to pursue a degree in complimentary and alternative medicine. Dr. Levitt is most proud of starting her own practice and enjoys being able to offer quality, comprehensive care to her patients.
In her limited free time, Dr. Levitt enjoys dining, hiking, traveling and spending time working in her yard.
Her favorite supplement is fish oil and her favorite wellness treatment is Jin Shin Jyutsu. It puts her in the “zone.”
After many years of being apart, Dr. Levitt is married to her high school sweetheart. She has a daughter, Aubrey, who is pursuing a degree in architecture, and can often be seen at IPC helping out. Dr. Levitt also gets to play “mom” to her husband’s three children who are now in high school and college.
